Ah if we lived near a drafthouse, maybe we’d have a pass too! But the nearest is an hour away, plus we have kids who would need a sitter so the cost ends up being more than just the movies for us. But he’s also complained about the cost of three tickets and snacks when taking them to a kids movie. So we can’t win basically.

Totally agree about the Marvel stuff! We feel much the same way.

My husband really loves the movie going experience but even he is having a really hard time justifying the amount of money it costs to see a flick in a theater. Whereas I would prefer never to leave my house so I’m cool with staying in to watch something, even if it means I have to wait for it. (Except for Dune. We make an exception for that. I’m sure there will be other exceptions in the future.)

If tortellini counts, that’s my preference.

I’ve seen so many attempts at justification for that one online but I can’t help but think that those people just don’t want to admit that they’re wrong.

Haha I think about the well-adjusted part all the time. Definitely hand-waviness on the part of Disney for that one!
