3 days agoMy husband really loves the movie going experience but even he is having a really hard time justifying the amount of money it costs to see a flick in a theater. Whereas I would prefer never to leave my house so I’m cool with staying in to watch something, even if it means I have to wait for it. (Except for Dune. We make an exception for that. I’m sure there will be other exceptions in the future.)
Ah if we lived near a drafthouse, maybe we’d have a pass too! But the nearest is an hour away, plus we have kids who would need a sitter so the cost ends up being more than just the movies for us. But he’s also complained about the cost of three tickets and snacks when taking them to a kids movie. So we can’t win basically.
Totally agree about the Marvel stuff! We feel much the same way.
