I have a Steam Deck OLED and my Freetube uses the whole screen. Freetube v0.23.1 beta and SteamOS version 3.6.20

It might be the way you have Freetube installed. From Steam game mode, go to Freetube, then Properties, then Shortcut. This is what I have:

Target:

“/usr/bin/flatpak”

Start In:

/usr/bin

Launch Options:

run --branch=stable --arch=x86_64 --command=/app/bin/run.sh --file-forwarding io.freetubeapp.FreeTube @@u %u @@

I am not using any specific compatibility mode.

There is a problem though where the mouse pointer cannot select anything more than about halfway down the screen. To get around this, I have the controller config set as follows:

• Right touchpad: mouse
• L2 & R2: right and left mouse buttons
• D-pad: arrow keys
• Left joystick - left: shift+tab
• Left joystick - right: tab
• Y: on-screen keyboard
• A: Enter

This will let you scroll with the d-pad, tab around, use keyboard, and select things with Enter.

I don’t disagree with you. People assumed I was against this but I was highlighting the fact that Russia is going to be more aggressive as Ukraine gets closer to being part of NATO.

This is going to piss off Russia something awful and escalate tensions big time.

I think I speak for the entire community when I say we are not going to do that.

This isn’t just symbolic though, it is the normalization of “confederates and nazis good, gay people bad”. It is the indoctrination of children of false information and rewritten history. It is erasure. It is a form of oppression.

I agree that most Republican voters don’t care about this stuff much. They won’t care about what Trump/Musk regime does until it hurts them directly and plainly.

This issue is still worth fighting and caring about. We are many people, and we can tackle many issues simultaneously. Just because republicans in power are nazis and Republican voters have been successfully manipulated, does not mean we stop fighting. We push back on every injustice.

There’s nothing wrong with trans children getting gender-affirming surgery either, as long as it is under the supervision of a doctor and follows current WPATH guidelines.

Gender-affirming surgeries are the opposite of mutilation.

Alphabet and Meta might be at that point soon, with the way things are going.

Sometimes I like hexbear, agree with them and laugh with them, and sometimes their insular attitude makes me cringe. I am very critical of the democratic establishment in the US but hexbear’s “blueMAGA” talk is really offputting to me and sounds like the incel / redpill speak from parts of reddit and other online communities.
