Mustard with Poutine. That stuff is amazing
This would be the least efficient way to get resumes, maybe ever. Literally posting fake jobs on Indeed or LinkedIn would be several thousand times faster
No one knows about it because they don’t have marketing budgets
Years ago I did a UX study on Lemmy’s frontend, and tbh not much has changed since. Things like when editing a thread, the Save button is multiple proximity separators apart from the text you’re editing, making it very easy to missclick cancel. Or in the community search, you can’t search on specific instances that aren’t yours.
I’ve gotten very used to the UI over time but it definitely needs a “pain point” passover
Hopefully people start posting in niche communities!
(But not the Taylor Swift armpit one)
Learning about Flink (the stream processor used in system design). I promised my club I would be doing a deep dive on it this Friday but…
Title makes it sound like he gave the info to his buddies who wanted it. No, the people working at DOGE had temporary access for carrying out their assigned work.
It is very hard to be anti-Elon when you have to fact check and dig into every anti-Elon story. If you just believe the headlines and talk to any skeptical right-winger, you’re gonna look real stupid when Google searches come out
I mean, post the content and people will come? I think a lot of people would have commented on these things if they saw the thread
Honestly I just use ChatGPT for all my questions now
I wish I was a tenth the man Che Guevara was. World would be a lot better a place with more people like him
“Democrats aren’t perfect so I’ll help get the worst possible option elected.”
It would be untrue to deny this, so I’ll instead say that Democrats and Republicans didn’t really campaign on different platforms. Like sure, there were some minor differences in climate and rights, but Claudia’s platform was amazing. Couldn’t pass up on supporting that
dares to have non-liberal opinion
“Don’t engage the trolls, guys”
The point of accelerationism (imo) is to ignore these minor issues so they can bubble up until the root cause is addressed.
The root cause isn’t ICE, immigration policy or Trump, it’s global and national scale inequality where billionaires and mega corporations prevent wealth distribution and real change from happening. We need a party who is willing to nationalize corporations that break the law, delete the military budget, and make serious pushes for climate action the same way Trump is pushing Colombia to take back their immigrants.
Until we get that kind of change, we will continue bickering over a couple lives here and there while the whole system heads for collapse.
Accelerationist here. Thanks for adding that word to my vocab!
Anyways, this issue is nothing compared to the war in Gaza, which is nothing compared global warming (which the Dems weren’t taking seriously)
Maybe I’ll consider supporting Democrats if they push a truly aggressive candidate. Until then, third party support from me
I cross posted this to Hacker News (which is very pro-CEO and big corpo) and it’s now rank 1 on the front page, lmao. People really support this guy
(And it’s funny because in the comments, people are seething “Nooooo he’s not popular, look at these polls that show he has 13% approval!!”)
(Not sharing link to avoid brigade)
Kids make maps. Stuff in the maps is sold for Roblox bucks. Roblox bucks cost money to buy. The kid who makes the map gets the Roblox bucks, and can sell them. The problem is you only get 30% back when you sell a Roblox buck.
So kids spend time making big maps and servers, buying ads, getting shoutouts on YouTube/whatever, and Roblox takes a 70% cut from all of it
