I don’t know if this was true at some point, but this is definitely a false statement today.

I have a Framework 16 w/o dGPU and it is perfect. It has long battery life, awesome performance, and has no thermal issues at all. Then there’s all the features which I don’t think I need to get into here. But I will call out support for lvfs/fwupdmgr; it’s great and in line with what I have seen with Dell and Lenovo.

      This is my forever laptop

They have their shortcomings but it’s all worth it to have pro-sumer hardware, in my opinion. I just can’t bear to give my money to consumer-hostile companies anymore.

True, that’s why I mostly buy used. I can’t see myself buying any electronic new except for important main computer or server parts

Buying used is not as bad but still supports the resale value of consumer-hostile devices, which indirectly supports their new value.

I buy from a local electronic recycler, I highly doubt there is any downside from them saving stuff from being thrown away

Someone made great content. They put in the time and effort, they chose a non-Google platform, they even posted it in multiple Fediverse platforms.

What’s more, the entire video content, with timestamps, is readable in-description, because they must have realized people like yourself prefer that sometimes, you just didn’t take the time to look.

Maybe you should write some long-form articles yourself?
