I respect pacifists, but I don’t believe they have the solution to an out of control cycle. That’s more a “try to keep it in control in the first place” or “I think God will fix it” mindset imo.
Then you don’t understand all pacifists. There are those of us that won’t commit any form of violence, unless we are saving someone else. Once that is true, we are defending our community, and you’d be surprised at how good of a shot many of us are.
