  • I had a gf when we were both in our 20s. She had huge body image issues when she was a teenager. She always worried about ther looks, but she was beautiful to me and many, many others. At like 24, she couldn’t drink or eat anything too soon before going to bed. Liquids we’re the most dangerous but, if she lie down, it would come back up. The acid from vomiting after every meal permanently caused her health issues.

I would recommend therapy for one thing, but also not caring so much about what others think. And, believe me as I also struggle with a number of things, that’s so much easier than it sounds. You should find and do things just for you and not anyone else. That’s not to say you should be completely selfish or something, but you need to realize that you are important and respect yourself. Again, easier said than done and I even struggle with this as a dude in his 40s sometimes.

Nothing changes for long overnight regarding mental health. It will be a battle with ups and downs, but I think it’s a battle worth fighting. Please take care of and respect yourself!
