I also want to say, if you read the Bible front to back, it’s the story of a people fucking up. The people do terrible things, a hero teaches them to be better, the heroes turn villain (or, rarely, wander off into the sunset when their role is complete), and the institutions rot.
It’s not a story of a better people, it’s a story of people doing better
Because no one is asking her anything. No one wants her to run again, no one is rallying behind her
She ran as basically “generic Democrat”. She doesn’t have the ideology of Bernie, she doesn’t have the relevance of Obama or Biden, and by the end of the campaign she toned down the cutting responses that made Trump look weak and stupid - that could have at least made her part of the conversation
She’s not being let off the hook, she’s been cut out of the picture
