once i pointed out that most modern mobile OSes have a native “smart invert” which can make any app dark mode without messing with images and i got called ableist 😭

+1 for wanting rudimentary editing tools in client apps. i don’t need filters or anything fancy but cropping and scaling as features would probably help with platform adoption.

It’s because race and politics are historically intrinsically tied in America, and DEI is essentially the new n word as coopted by racist bigots.

I have no problem with this being considered politics as it’s parallel dehumanization and delegitimization tactics to those used in Nazi Germany.

For the record the user was also disabled and their disability played directly into drag’s heinous encouragement. This ableist violent rhetoric was deemed inappropriate both by 196 community mods and Blahaj admins for different yet related reasons. That behavior was violent, triggering, and absolutely unacceptable for any instance and community that values minority or oppressed groups even a little.

This is following the user’s real history of similar suicide encouragement in other communities.
