A few naive people think that they might have some use in monitoring standards between schools, THEY DON’T. Pearson, Springer, and the other large education companies suck up much of the funding…not to the benefit of classrooms and students.

What was being done with the data was the problem, not the data gathering itself. All this means is that the data won’t exist. The underlying problems still will. Not a single thing you’ve said justifies the action you’re trying to justify.

They get away with it because they don’t have serious competition and the reason for that is that allowing anyone to upload videos for free, to be viewed by anyone else for free, is by itself not a viable business model.

Because they vote consistently no matter what. They don’t have to be cajoled just to get them to the polls on election day. They understand that voting is literally the least you can do, not the most. That makes their opinion in a democracy extremely important despite their lunacy.

Of course we can’t know who all those non-voters wanted to win, but I’d rather not imply that nearly half of all americans voted for him.

Who gives a shit? Those non-voters made an active choice to not matter. Makes sense to respect that choice and ignore their existence.

People always bring this up as if it’s some indication that things arent quite as bad as they seem. Why? Americans chose this in every way that matters.

If you don’t know much about investing then you shouldn’t short anything ever. People who know about investing will tell you that even when your logic is 100 percent sound, the market isn’t that predictable and in general the market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent.
