Email minus pgp you are correct email with pgp I honestly think it’s more secure than all of them since you know the protocol is not going to help you and it was the end to end encryption before it was cool. This is so wrong you don’t share anything with PGP you never share a private key with anyone and you can shared your public key with anyone it’s useless without the private key.

I don’t have skin in this game but Email itself can be clear text all you want. By using pgp with email is very much secure as the text encryption is not transparent you see the encrypted message you encrypted with their public key and need their private key to decrypt the message.

Yeah Denis Villeneuve is a wonderful story teller. The book gives great context to what the characters are thinking and that was where Lynch failed trying to put that on screen when it wasn’t needed for the medium.
