Just a guy
I’m not a big fan of Macron, but in all honesty, “the genie’s out of the bottle” and we need some way to protect ourselves and the news media from ANY “foreign AI” influences.
As long as the European countries stay true to their guidelines, this should just be considered as a necessity.
🫢 Kof! kof! Hmm…steamdeck KOF!
Dude try search any lemmy.word group in there. Either it doesn’t work or someone is filtering them off. They appear now.
First, they sell us that product, but most importantly, Marvel/Disney is a very big player in the industry. If they start doing this kind of thing with their artworks and no one says nothing, there is a serious risk of seeing everyone do the same sooner or later.
In all honesty, I’m not 100% sure if this is AI poorly fixed in Photoshop or just plain bad Photoshop, but some attention to the issue is far from useless talk.
We are concerned about the misuse of AI to cheaply replace artists in very high-budget movies. Whether they be War and Peace or My Little Pony, the issue lies elsewhere. CG artists are already forced into very poor and abusive working conditions, and the last thing we need is for the audience to get used to cheap, last-minute AI work in million-dollar budget movies.
[Movies are a form of human art] + [Comics are a form of human art]
= Using AI to make the poster of a Movie based on a famous Comic is nothing less that a dick move.
(Ps. This is NOT the cheap poster of a local event or some advertising on a magazine. “Marcel” have fucking millions of budget to pay an artist. The simple fact that “Marcel” do that, is itself a very worrying trend)
