Along with geopolitical interests, the US is interested in Ukraine’s natural resources.

Don’t forget Lil X!
Oh just the opposite. A federal judge is currently the only obstacle preventing Trump from stripping Native Americans of their birthright citizenship.
In a short 500 years we went from “You live here, we’ll stay there.” to “We live here, you live there.” to “We live here, you don’t belong here at all.”
We’re fucking monsters.
My great aunt was given a deal like this to move to New Zealand in the late 50s. New Zealand is undeniably beautiful, and full of rich culture. They’re really going to have to sweeten that deal to get someone to move to Florida.
It doesn’t even need to go that far. If that happens in an area that uses well water rather than municipal, the water table contamination will shutter any nearby businesses for longer than they can afford.
This may be outdated info. I learned it in a civil engineering course ~20 years ago.
The 3D vector mapping in NYC is legit.
I haven’t replaced a head unit in years, but I’m not surprised the proprietary systems require custom components for replacement. I can’t count the amount of head units I’ve replaced with my own ‘custom’ wire harness to save the $15 it cost for the Metra adapter. Lol
Fascinating. They’re much older than that of the sources I’ve read. Thanks for the link!
My point about the difference between public vs private prisons being independent of prisons that participate in indentured servitude still stands. One does not imply the other.
Great point. The Gallup poll was performed shortly after Trump’s inauguration as well. Bias may have been the point.
As did Hitler. Lol
Exactly the line that stood out to me as well. There is way too much liberty in that wording, especially following a point of support for the death penalty.
Fucking Dubya beat Biden? Who the fuck are they polling?
Oh he’s one of the good ones. A lifetime of law enforcement, and he used the woke library money to break ground on a cop city to keep New Yorkers safe.
🖕I’m doing this as hard as I can.
Good point. At least my vomit tastes like coffee.
I can’t imagine many will sell. It’s paradoxical in nature.
What self-respecting white supremacist is willing to enrich a black man to wear ‘their own’ symbol of hate? Imagine wearing a Yestika tee to your weekly cross burning. What a terribly embarrassing faux pas.
Slavery is independent of prison ownership. You’re referring to involuntary servitude versus the abolished chattel slavery. Privatization is an additional layer of systemic oppression.
Private prisons may or may not partake in indentured servitude. In addition to participating in the constitutionally protected slavery, they have far more systemic problems than public prisons. The goal is to spend as little as possible to meet minimum legal requirements in order to maximize profit (it’s a business, after all). Many of these for-profit prisons are infrequently or improperly evaluated, leading to far worse conditions than governmentally run prisons. There have also been countless cases of people being denied parole to maintain minimum headcount.
Modern private prisons first emerged in 1984 when the Corrections Corporation of America (CCA), now known as CoreCivic, was awarded a contract to take over operation of a jail in Hamilton County, Tennessee. See comment below for link to the origins of private prisons.
It began in the 1980s, when Republicans went full-throttle into privatization.
Not a chance. The new ‘infotainment’ clusters integrate necessary features like climate control to prevent aftermarket replacements in most vehicles. I honestly don’t know if any manufacturers even use the single and double DIN standards anymore.
