I know someone like that, known them for close to a decade now and something recently transpired but the how and why are contested(stupid mistake or deliberate action was the question). A friend asked “aren’t we supposed to believe the victim?” and all I could say was “I wish I could.”
Well, it’s a good thing I live where public transportation and even just straight up walking is not only viable but actually preferable!
Shame the rest of the country was too busy crying about “freedom” and is about to get rat-fucked as their only viable mode of transportation(as it stands because they have not invested in good cities and towns) more than doubles in price! And oooooh how it will be nice to see the stupid overly large, and overly expensive, crossovers, SUVs, and trucks be the ones to get hit the hardest.
I wonder which country will be fucked harder.
Also “voting with your wallet” only works if you have enough money to make the choice regardless of whether or not those choices exist. I’d love to buy Canadian made products crafted by small businesses for everything I do but sometimes I just can’t afford it. Sometimes I’ll just not buy the thing, of course, but other times it can’t be avoided.
Conservatives will shit all over someone for complaining and then not “putting their money where their mouth is” but if you buy anything other than the cheapest shit you’re “irresponsible and shouldn’t complain about low wages if you’re gunna buy a brandname bag of chips”. It’s so exhausting.
I had a boss like that. “I don’t know what you mean when you say you can’t talk to me, I’ve always got my phone on me.” while every time I brought something up it was “ok but how is this your fault and why are you being mean to your coworkers by asking them to collaboratively come up with a standard way of doing things instead of letting them run wild and free?”
Sure, but there are PLENTY of irresponsible ones screaming that nonsense every time a school shooting happens. It’s not like they’re rare specimens.
I just wanna know where all the “I need guns to fight back against tyranny” people are. They’re reeeeal quiet.

Money does, however, buy security. Money would solve all of my worst problems and make the other ones easier to handle. We don’t need a lot, but sure as hell need more than we have now and people like him don’t deserve a damn fucking cent(besides any universal social programs because that’s what universal means and I ain’t gunna be that guy).
Right? To not get any news, even by accident, is wild. I know I’m in a position that sees it more, and it does rake some setup(an app or two with notifications does a lot of the heavy lifting) but I mean come on.
Why do you think that Europeans are as stupid as North Americans? Sure, here in Canada and the US we love to switch to worse options because “change” but generally the EU is much better about that kind of thing. They’ll strengthen their own militaries and continue working together as they have been.
Also Russia? Really? The ones actually attacking European countries instead of just threatening? Really?
I’m 100% certain that the “you” is directed at the republican voters. If you were one of them, then maybe the whole “Musk is going to be in charge of a new department and do all this crazy shit” somehow slipped by you, but it was definitely said very loudly.
One comment I remember from right before the election was a person saying how their cashier said “well, anybody but Biden right?” and they were like “Biden…Biden isn’t running.”
I don’t get it. I do not understand how people could be so blind to politics that they wouldn’t even know who’s running, but then I talk to real people and it’s like “oh.”

I mean, if there really was fraud it would still matter that you hold people accountable. If there was any, though, it was the GOP doing it, so that’s awkward.
