  • Sad thing is the car only haas about 60,000 miles and the clutch bearing died about a month ago. Wasted $2,000 to have a new clutch installed because I’m on raw land and i have not built my garage yet.

Once I build my garage I plan to have a concrete pad poured so I can add a car lift. Might be a few years until I can work on this car and it’s our only car at the moment and I live in the middle of nowhere.

But good news I did buy a pickup truck on Tuesday, they are mailing the keys, title, bill of sale. So hopefully by next week we have another vehicle to drive around here. Sadly the owner died, but that’s how I got a great price on it.

  • Yesterday I didn’t sleep, it was hot and couldn’t sleep.

Got up at 4am, went to work, ran errands. Then as I was driving I put the car in reverse in the freeway instead of 6th gear. What the fuck. Grinding noise.

Turns out the car no longer goes in reverse. I believe I bent the teeth in the synchro gears. Fuuuu, need to pull the transmission and take it all apart. I don’t even have concrete or anything yet. I have lived here 6 months on raw land. I guess for the next few years I need to push the car if I get stuck lol

I plan to have an automotive workshop when we build the garage, but that might be a few years away.

  • I was fine with pre-roll ads and mid roll ads. Then YouTube became ultra greedy during Covid when tons of people watching, they went from 1-3 ads per video to 30 ads for a 30 minute video (2 ads every 2 minutes). What the fuck.

I installed adblocker because they did that. YouTube was not watchable at all. Sucks, because I didn’t mind supporting the platform and creator, but their greed ruined that.

  • Reduce and reuse. Recycling is the last resort.

Donate to thrift stores. sell on eBay, Craigslist, marketplace, swap meets, yard sales, etc. Give to friends and neighbors.

Keep what you need, keep what makes you happy. Judge what you actually need to keep. I got rid of so many things before moving, some I am happy I did and some I regret. But since I regret it, I know that I may find that same item again and to keep an eye for it. At least I can always get those items again, so getting rid of it wasn’t that bad.

  • I would much rather have legal immigration be easier, cheaper, faster.

Let them in, let them work, let them pay taxes, let them be free and part of the country they want to be in. They want to be here so badly they are willing to commit the crime of being here illegally and working hard for very little money. it’s gross how often they are taken advantage of.

  • I used to watch YouTube with ads since they added ads. It wasn’t too bad.

Then during the start of Covid tons of people watched YouTube and googles greedy eyes lit up… they went from 1-3 (skipable) ads per video to ads every minute of video. I was like WHAT THE F&$@… then installed U-block.

    I couldn’t believe their greed.

I also spent Covid downloading (yt-dlp) every video I wanted to archive for offline (never know if they will someday block downloads), I’m also worried for a time we loose YouTube. 99% of the things I loved about the internet is dead now, someday it will happen to YouTube too.
