Apropos nothing, qualified immunity is what prevents you and me from suing Trump or Musk for millions of dollars. Without it, they could be found personally liable for any damage they cause.
But qualified immunity is not guaranteed. It can be stripped if a judge finds an official knowingly broke the law. For example, after defying a court order.
Also, did you know that you can sue people in state court? And if you win and the defendant won’t pay, the state AG can simply give you the title to their real estate?
