Oh yeah, I didn’t notice the thread is deeper. I meant lumony, the person I originally responded to. They called Marvel art (which is fine) and called it useless slop or something like that… So clearly we are talking about art as something that needs to have quality. I responded to them that their mistake is thinking that its art (in the sense that it needs to have quality). It’s just entertainment, not all movies need to be citizen Kane or whatever. Is it more clear now or…?

Sure, but that wording becomes detrimental when you only expect high-quality things because that’s what you associate with art, forgetting that there is also entertainment that doesn’t need to be high quality necessarily.

It’s not really the same kind of media at all, depending on what you watch. I guess what I look for in YouTube are interesting perspectives, often on things I haven’t even considered. Maybe something like blogs could partially replace it, but I’m not aware of any blogging platforms that have tons of interesting perspectives and things to talk about and actually knows what to offer me. Isn’t blogging kind of dead?

I used to read books when I was younger, but I have serious attention issues with text-only stuff. And it’s straining on eyes.

I’m not sure I would like to go to any bar or fast food place or anything like that, if they promoted their political views out in the open like that. Even if they perfectly alined with mine. I just don’t want to see any of that, i’m there for the service and product.

They just use the word efficiency because it sounds good. Its not like they actually care about any of what you said.

China never really had functioning democracy to begin with, so this comparison doesn’t really apply. The point is to rise up before it gets as bad as in China.

yeah my analogy is not so good… LLMs suck with factual stuff, they are better with coding or languages (Claude has been really helpful to me with Estonian).
