It looks like it might be one of those blockchain-based marketplaces. I noticed there were a handful of those on AlternativesTo. I skipped em because I have no interest in supporting blockchain stuff.

This matters. I wasn’t sure whether to include a remark about that or not, because in my mind, open-source and federation are implicitly mandatory.

Looking through Amazon alternatives… they all suck so far. Though this Etsy alternative looks interesting:

That sounds like fake open-source. Can I download the source, build it, have the thing run locally on my own machine, and use it without it having to interact with this company’s servers?

I’m not too informed about DeepSeek. Is it real open-source, or fake open-source?
