Summary

Elon Musk called for the firing of Wall Street Journal reporter Katherine Long after she exposed racist tweets from Marko Elez, a Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) employee who later resigned.

Long’s report revealed Elez had posted remarks promoting racism and eugenics.

“Just for the record, I was racist before it was cool,” Elez posted in July, according to the Journal’s review of archived posts.

Musk, who claims to support free speech, labeled Long “disgusting and cruel” and demanded that she should be fired.

Critics noted the hypocrisy of Musk advocating for a journalist’s removal over accurate reporting on a public official’s misconduct.

The sooner someone Luigi’s him the better, if only for the fact we would never have to hear the fucker speak again.

No can do, stinky Musky boy. First amendment explicitly protects criticism of government agencies and employees. Which is exactly what you’re claiming DOGE is.

If it isn’t news to you, why are you saying he hasn’t been vetted or doesn’t have security clearance as if that’s relevant?

other people care about the law and are still in the government… you act as if it’s all over.
the laws they’re currently breaking are our best chances of restraining them.

Which other people? What power do you think they have?

And who do you expect to restrain them?

And yes, America is over. It is a fascist dictatorship now. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you will stop expecting this to be fixed by any sort of government or legal opposition which will never come and hopefully actually start working on trying to do something about it yourself. Like taking to the streets when you can.

if it was a fascist dictatorship, we couldn’t take to the streets.
it’s not over, and i’m not placing all of my faith in the government to correct itself either….
taking to the streets is great, but so is stuff like petitioning and writing to political representatives….
when they start shooting protestors, then it will be a fascist dictatorship.
                  this is good: https://pocan.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/pocan-introduce-elon-musk-act-ban-federal-government-contracts-special
there are a lot of people in government still fighting back… including federal employees….
the state department flew it’s flag at half mast….
it can feel like we’re defeated, but we’re not… yet….

He is really, REALLY becoming fucking absolutely unhinged VERY fast. He is trying to suppress any form of overlook VERY fast and very aggressively. He hasn’t acted like this before. While it is expected, he needs to be told that he can go to hell.

What I fear is that he won’t be asking for people to be fired, he will be soon asking for arrests and I am very, VERY confident he will brazenly calling for hits on people very openly.

always has been, he is the son of a slaver in apartheid SA and iirc grandson of a nazi. of course he is racist too.

now that he is the literal dictator of the biggest empire in the world, i don’t think he needs to worry about softening it anymore. its logical that fascism will serve him judging from the… gestures hes been making. or the casual fascist shit hes been saying for years at this point. or the alleged attempted coups. or the fact hes a billionaire. or …

i think your hunch is correct though. he didnt bother climbing onto that throne not to use it. the silver lining is that he already showed himself incompetent.
