Summary

A federal judge ruled that Trump can continue mass firings of federal workers while litigation proceeds, rejecting a request from labor unions to block the layoffs.

The judge stated that the unions must take their complaints to a federal labor board, as the court likely lacks jurisdiction.

The administration, led by Elon Musk’s DOGE, has been aggressively cutting federal jobs, targeting probationary employees and offering buyouts.

About 75,000 workers have accepted buyouts, and layoffs continue despite union opposition and ongoing legal challenges.

Then they shouldn’t have taken a federal judge seat. It’s like sitting in the exit row of an aircraft; if you’re not willing to carry out your responsibility when shit gets hard, you shouldn’t be taking the position in the first place.
