Where is the place for that? Not trying to be confrontational, but seriously. If we can’t talk about actual solutions to fascism here on Lemmy, then how are we supposed to get organized?
In private. The hosts to these servers may face legal consequences from our very sane and level-headed regime for allowing anything close to calls to violence.
If you’d like lemmy to remain available, you’d understand that we need to remove posts/comments that advocate for violence.
So, If you’re not willing to create your own personal social media platform where you can make your own rules, you’re going to have to follow the ones set by ToS.
Okay. I guess I’ll spend my move explaining that I wasn’t aware this was a game being played. I was simply trying to illustrate a point that we have to abide by the rules of the that are set by the TOS- which are based on the home location of the server that hosts lemmy.world.
This isn’t a playground designed specifically just for you- so that you can say whatever you feel like saying at any given time.
It’s a platform created with the intent that people will act like actual adults and discuss topics with some common sense and maturity. If you look around, you’ll see thousands of people not liking what is going on, discussing it without wishing for the deaths of those responsible for it.
Now, if you are incapable of this, and you have an irresistible need to publicly wish death upon people because you disagree with their political ideology- I’ll help you to know, there are plenty of other instances that allow that- I suggest you go find one of those, because this isn’t one of them.
(Take note how I didn’t act on your little attempt to bait a removal. “86” isn’t a direct reference to violence, therefore it remains untouched. This should illustrate how we aren’t here to remove/ban all content asking for the removal of Trump of anyone in his administration. Just the ones that think murder and assassination should be the way it is achieved)
Not my house, or my rules. I just follow them because- as this discussion has proven, clearly someone needs to. I mean, take a step back and realize that you are arguing in favor of being able to publicly wish death upon human other beings.
This isn’t civil discourse. And it never ends in any constructive manner.
Therefore to avoid this place turning into a cesspit of salivating edgelord teenagers, climbing over one another to be the one to have come up with the most popular way to wish death on others-
If your talk about doing anything about it includes suggestions of violence, then you’re right. It’ll get removed. This isn’t the place for that.

It makes sense that they’d cover their asses
This is exactly it. Spreading talk of violence is against ToS.
If lemmy.world wants to be reddit so bad may as well just move back there?

Appreciate the response.
From my perspective, there’s a reason why we’re all using a decentralised, open source platform: to avoid censorship.
Otherwise it’s just reddit with extra steps.
The removal of comments that advocate for violence isn’t censorship. Because calling for violence is against ToS.

Just gauging the temperature of the pool, lifeguard. I got what I wanted.
Your house, your rules.

We end it before it begins.
I offer no apologies that this bothers you.
