Probably game of the year for me. Such a rollercoaster of emotions every time I sat down and played. Still have to play the bits after the story is over.

You can play without biters. Just pick the option before you start the map. Or pick friendly mode to have them there but they never bother you until you attack them is also an option. A lot of settings before you start a new game, check them out :)
I played Factorio first and since my friends are “done with Factorio” (not sure what’s wrong with them but I think I need new friends) I agreed to play satisfactory with them. It was fun for a couple of hours then it just started tobuild up rage inside of me because of so many strange or stupid design decisions the devs made. When we got to trains and I started building that was when I hit my rage limit and boiled over. My god those stations are huge and the unloading was the most stupid shit ever. Then all the small finicky tricks you can do to slim your builds… And this you want to learn/do since blueprints are small. Don’t get me started… Never started the game again after we were done but have a couple of hundred more hours in Factorio since then :)
We built in the cafeteria and as you say we also had these spawns in the middle of the base which seemed stupid but when we progressed further they stoped spawning there. Or maybe because we built more there? Not sure. It’s a thing of the past now anyway so if you decide to continue it will hopefully pass with progress.
Started playing this with my friends a couple of months ago. We are old so we can only play for 2 hours every week bit it is a blast! Having so much fun and the graphics being a throwback to half life 1 is just top notch! It really show how much gameplay means compared to polygon count and whatever effects etc.
Not sure if I would have played this on my own. A bit too much of the survival stuff that I am not into too much but that is a personal preference. Less stress about that with friends.
“why do you balance/Nerf in a single player game? Stupid devs!” Pretty much every single “gamer” with no knowledge of what makes a game fun/challenging. Cracks me up every time.
This. Fuck reddit
Even if repair was encouraged it would take time to change how people think. As someone who does repairs I do notice how often people just ask for replacements instead even if it’s just a small easy thing to switch out. I tell them no, I fix it. That said, the things is repair is often fast and done in less than an hour if I have parts already.
It breaks me mentally but I can’t stay away… I NEED THE CRACKTORIO!!
I think it shows how much they dont understand how it is to live without money.
Wish i could get a hold on these manuals to switch games but after looking some it seem quite hard. Would love to print for my own use and for something to my child to look at just like I did when I were younger. Oh well.
Sad to hear about the condition and I hope you get well. Why do these things happen to good people who make a change in the world?
Genki ac adapter is pretty cheap to do this. Can use with pretty much anything instead of getting something specialized. I use mine for steam deck and switch.
I played only on my deck at first since I wanted a game I only play there. It was really tough and I died a lot.
Played once on my desktop and totally crushed. Not sure if it was luck or screen size and my age :(
Love the gaming news. Thank you!
Been playing Clair Obscure: Expedition 33. Finished it last week and I am blown away. Game of the year for me. There is no challenge here. I read that there is a lot more of it after the story so I am going to continue.
I love Factorio but never had the idea to pick it up on a controller but maybe i should try it out sometime.
About 20 years ago I played world of warcraft every day and every awaken hour of the day or just about. School was over and I lived with my parents and was “looking for work”. Let’s just say that I played vanilla so much that I had guild members calling in the middle of the night to get together for world boss killing.
Since then I have realized that is not how to go about in life and last time i really got stuck was with Factorio.
